Where have I been

Sitting here

Actually I have been studying for classes and working a bit much. Put my blog on hold…not that anyone cares :) Actually, they say you should just keep going with a blog rather then apologize, but I like to rant and babble so if I didn’t have three or four sentences of filler in my posts you would be offended…I mean why else would you visit?

So when I sit at home and read…this is my little spot of “zen”

Yes yes, that is my bed on the left of the picture. *sigh* I have a loft and no it is not a dorm room and yes I am over 25!! Sheesh. It’s a full size bed and it’s lofted, it gives me a nice sleeping area that is also in it’s own little spot. No, it doesn’t cause a problem when someone spends the night…but that’s to discuss another time. :)

Books books books…if you have been reading for awhile or looked at my book listing, you know I have been reading like crazy the past year (year and a half, but who’s counting). Behind the magic bamboo curtain you’ll see…tada! Books, loads of them.

More pics soon to come…I just bought a digital camera so that means I have more to blog-n-show about. :) On the horizon: Tamara Bedricky meet-n-greet and concert tonight! Saturday it’s Star Wars Episode III and Sunday…6th row tickets for Michael Buble!! You know I’ll have pictures to share for that one.

Triscadecaphobia

A fear of the number 13. Anyone else crazy enough to blog today?

Quick update

I have been busy as hell with work during the day…then classes at night. I have a test tonight so I have been studying like a freak!! When I’m done with my test I’ll have a moment to breathe and finish my back posting extravaganza!

Still tweaking my site design…added some links to my profiles and changed some formatting around a bit. Friendster, MySpace and Consumating profiles are linked…along with my Amazon wish-list (muhahah book insanity). I’m trying to clean up my book listing at All consuming so it works with tags correctly, then I can show a little more about what I have been reading…because everyone cares about that. :P

I have some good stories too! OMG…the shit that has happened recently is just from a freaking movie…what else is new? I’ve always got some crazy story to tell.

cheers,
-bd

Just another Friday

I have some posting to catch up on…but I have some ranting to do. It’s happened again if you can believe it: I kinda like a friend of mine, but I’m kinda talking to someone else too.

It seems almost inevitable that when I start talking to someone –break– yes we are playing the pronoun game here because I am two years old….someone does mean female, a girl…a cute one too. –unbreak– sooo where was I? YEAH! It seems almost inevitable that when I start talking to someone on a regular basis that I have an interest in getting to know a little more about, I find someone else I would also like to get to know more about. Now, some people would think that this is a good thing: having choices. The problem is that I tend to botch things up with all parties when I get to this point. Why? Well I don’t have “mad pimping game skillz” like some fellas (haha riiiiiight), but I get to a point where I think I might hurt someone because I donno if I can focus on one person and still be honest about it to the other person…then my great gift of over-thinking goes into overdrive so I make more out of every situation then there is and it’s all down hill from there. I rock!!

I should mention that one person I just talk to and there isn’t much beyond that right now; but we started talking on the premise of a possible date in the future. Thankfully we talk openly (to a point) about other people we talk to. So no real big problem there. The other person…well it’s a little complicated, and the complications don’t need to be weighed just yet.

Let’s just say that right now I have a problem. There is someone that I used to be flirty-with-no-problem friends with. A few weekends ago I gained some insight into her thoughts on our flirty nature; this made me think which is not always a good thing. I then spent some time with her this past weekend and saw a different side of things (good side) and I am now…well I’m not a babbling dweeb about it! :) I pretty much tongue tied when we talk and the only way I can talk is by not looking her her eyes. Why? Well you know how a mouse sort of gets hypnotized by a snake before it gets devoured? Yea, that’s pretty much the situation: I’m the mouse.

So if you are a regular reader you know I tend to exaggerate a little and overreact. Right, I’m a freak and I’m all over the map. So, my reactions are just like I said, but I have been keeping them subtle. Last night I happened to bump into her again and well…I’m pretty sure she caught on that there might be a “little issue” on my side of the fence. AWESOME! I suck.

*sigh* Life likes to throw curve-balls doesn’t it?

Been working so hard

Kick off your Sunday shoes

Footloose. I have no transition here…um…yea so I’ve been working (been workin’ so hard) actually I’ve been a lazy bum when I have been coming home from work. You knew that already. I just back posted a few items and I have a few to clean up; when you type on a PDA [Personal Digital Assistant] you have a little clean up to do. That’s my new gig too…

I have been taking off to type up my blog at some place relaxing or even the last coffee-shop-concert I went to. I have to say for those of you struggling to blog at times, try taking a notebook that’s you “ofline blog” to write in. You’ll find you have a lot to talk about that you never knew you wanted to talk about.

For the loyal (or casual) readers, you know I have a fetish for music, watches and pens. Some weird twist in my brain finds inspiration in all three; seeing that I owe some pics of my latest additions to the collection!

My new “girlfriend” inspires me to write, draw, create…think…feel a different way. Is that materialistic? Maybe. I don’t care. What’s wrong with finding your muse? Mine just happens to be a Mont Blanc Starwalker…

I love music…and I can never make up my damn mind what I want to listen to. I get crabby because I left this CD or that CD. Now I can take some of my CDs with me in a nice small package. Yes, I have caved in to my cravings…and iPod: U2 Edition.

My new “girlfriend” doesn’t get jealous of the iPod because I still see the iPod as just an iPod…it contains random inspirational material; but it does not inspire me. I’m sure there are times the “girlfriend” gets a little jealous; but at the end of the day she knows she’s the important one.

So for now, they get along…

While one is in the shadow of the other, they are still both clearly important to me. Yes gag, barf, puke, yell…hate me. I know it was such a lame allusion to the fact that part of the picture is out of focus, but you can still see the “girlfriend” in the reflection of the iPod…like one is a reflection of the other…PUNS GALORE I know. I like puns and this is my blog…so pun if you want to. Pun around the world…

Movie Review #1

Closer

What a great warm-fuzzy type of movie. So last night I watched this movie with a few friends and I was amused that one of my friends had labeled it as a “chick flick”…oOOooo no, this is a good old fashion family movie my friend. Between the lies, cheating, sex, stripping, yelling and swearing you would never know it was rated R.

The plot? Think bizarre love “square” [nix triangle] meets pathological liars anonymous. I recall many movies, friends relationships…and hell even my relationships where each scene connects well with some personal memory pocket. If you have ever been cheated on or cheated on someone, you’ll feel that same lump in your stomach or guilt…or maybe you’ll feel nothing…that you felt when it happened to you. Natalie Portman plays along side Jude Law for the young and puppy-love type of relationship while Julia Roberts and Clide Owenhave a twisted sexual funny-meeting type of relationship.

One of my favorite scenes is when Clide Owen is confronting Julia Roberts about sleeping with Jude Law and he says something to the effect [NOTE: this is a wee bit graphic]:

Clide: Did you like his c**k in your mouth!?
Julia: Yes!
C: Did you like it when he c**e on your face!?
J: Yes!
C: What did he taste like!?
J: Only you but sweater!!
C: Now that’s the spirit!

Are you kidding me!?!? AWESOME. I know it’s raw and raunchy, but I loved it. There are many scenes in the movie on par with that moment, so it might not be for the easily offended.

Amidst all this sarcasm I truly did enjoy the film and I know I’ll be buying the DVD.

I can’t recall (nor find) if I have done a movie review before; where I titled it “Movie Review”…so this is numero uno! On with the new category!
