With my lameness

What the hell is wrong with me? I have tried so many times to figure out Hello/Picasa/BloggerBot and I cannot get it to work.

Connections are not blocked by the firewall…if I just type something I can get a post…great so it connects! Whenever I select a picture, even a small one -be it jpg or gif- it will not load to the page. I just get the “BloggerBot: Uploading Image (this may take a few seconds)…”

WTF?!?

I thought I was the only lazy one

So yesterday at the office I go into the bathroom –it doesn’t matter why I was in the bathroom– and when I go to wash my hands I see something so annoying, but not annoying enough to be funny: empty hand soap container.

So what? Well I work for a small company and our office might as well look like a house in the projects, but the point is that our bathrooms look just like home bathrooms. We have the typical dial or soft soap hand pumps. Now I cannot tell you how many times I have had to refill the pump in the men’s bathroom on my side of the building. I let it go for weeks before to see if anyone would fill it…then I caved and filled it. See we keep the industrial size refill container under the sink…in the SAME DAMN BATHROOM!

To make matters worse, my suspicions of soap fraud were confirmed. What the hell am I talking about? Well you know how you go to a cheap hole-in-the-wall bar or a ghetto club and they water down the liquor or worse…water down the beer? Well the soap container has had what appears to be water in it before. Yesterday I confirmed it!! Some mofo put about 4oz of water in the soap pump! Who the hell is so damn lazy that they will actually remove the top and put the bottle under the faucet, but they won’t move their hand an additional 12 inches to grab the bottle with more soap!?!?!?!

I am left to empty the soap pump, then push the pump 10 times to get all the water out because it feels like slimy water when it’s mixed with a little soap and it comes out…just gross.

The final thought I had as I walked out of the bathroom was: what is more annoying?

a) that someone thought watered down soap was acceptable

-or-

b) that someone thought the company was in such bad shape we couldn’t afford soap so we have to water it down for a cost savings

…and then I went back to work

Oh wait

I got all the books I had previously listed on the site up and linked with my All Consuming site. I’ll randomly add the other books I have sitting on the shelf, but for now I am pleased with the listing. I got all the previous listed blogs linked via blogroller. I added a hit counter that isn’t obscene, but so I can at least see who else other then myself reads my blog…

So as I stand up to cheer and marvel at my coding skills I notice some off pixels when viewing from Safari on OSX…son of a bitch!!

Well tonight I plan on fixing that little tidbit of code and adding a new “category” of posts. What pray tell might I be conjuring up now? Well I have:

• Recycled Music
• Concert Reviews
• Ideas
• Random entries

Now I want to add “Book Reports”. As if writing them in school, or should I say plagiarizing them in school wasn’t enough. I figure I read like a mofo [mother f**ker], why not post some reviews eh? (no I am not from Canada).

So off to report land I go!

And I have success

So I blew up the blog one more time in the middle of everything…thankfully I made a copy of the updated changes. :)

Well now I just have to finish adding my books to All Consuming and I am all set! The idea here is that I will no longer have to manually add and move books, I can host that content outside the site. Further, I have a blogroller now I can add and remove links without worrying about botching my layout.

I might be turning into a CSS whore…I /had/ to make a few changes and rather then use tables…I just made a billion little boxes to get what I wanted. Ahhh the power of code!

And so it begins

I added a few links, changed some things around, fixed some code errors, tried to add some features…and I broke it. :(

Somehow in the updating of a post, blogger decided to fubar my template. The good news is that my CSS style I cranked on for days I still have, and I have a backup. However, all the changes I made last night…I have to do all over again!

Yeay, the beauty of the net and free hosting sites.

Where things are just blah

I don’t have anything special to say and I am not feeling overly creative at this moment…but I feel like I need to vent. I just don’t know what I need to vent about. How’s that for a nice start to the week?

No this is not a “the world is out to get me” post or rant of sorts; just a “I feel like ‘blah’ and I want to go home, crawl in bed and pull the blanket over my head…then fall back asleep.” At this moment I would prefer wrestling with a down comforter that never seems to cover me everywhere unless I lay on a diagonal in my full size bed.

Maybe all those comments about my brain feeling like mush were mistaken as wishes that are now being granted by the genie in the bottle I found years ago…damn here I am with a brain turning to mush when I could have wished for a million wishes. I hate when that happens!

Anyone else having a day like that? How about just hating days like that?
