Night night buddy

Apparentely security is really good on some airplanes, they don’t notice when there are people on the plane that shouldn’t be there. AWESOME! I can’t wait for my trip to Mexico now.

What am I talking about now? Weird News: Man sleeps through round trip flight

Interesting…maybe next time the Astrology folks could tell me to have a good weekend, when it’s actually the weekend. Yea…way to go there, I bet your readings are right on the mark.

“If anyone is entitled to one guilt-free, responsibility-free weekend, it’s you. Start with tonight, and enjoy yourself — even if you really have to work at it. There’s no such thing as working too hard at having fun. So if you’re feeling a bit lost, forget that, too. In fact, put those books under lock and key — just for the moment. After all, why do you need a tour guide to find out how to have fun?”

The Reunion

I can sum it up in three words: waste of money. Sure sure it was nice to see a few people, but out of 400+ graduating students less than 60 showed up and most of those were people I didn’t know or people I didn’t care about. The people I wanted to see, like the football players who thought they were cool then, but pick up trash on the highway now…yeah, they weren’t there. The people I wanted too see, like the people I called “friends”…yeah, they weren’t there.

If I wanted to gossip about anything all I have is one guy was married and living with his wife in his father-in-law’s garage. I didn’t catch why, so there could have been a valid reason to live in a garage of his wife’s father…in Michigan…in the beginning of winter…sure….there could have been a great reason.

Or I could talk about the guy who’s date looked like she walked out of a 1993 time machine, prom dress and hair. When asked if she was his wife, the response: oh no, I mean we live together, we’ve been dating for 3 years and have a few kids…but we’re taking it slow and easy; no marriage yet. Right…um…no comment.

All-in-all it was an uneventful party. Oh yea, except for the girl that kept dancing on the dance floor solo…spinning and then sitting on the floor next to the DJ booth after drinking too much. Yea, she was good entertainment.

I am not a turkey fan

Well it’s time for the obligatory holiday post. I mean I have to right? Right. So…every year there are numerous times where I have turkey at somebody’s house, holidays or not. However, I dislike turkey. It doesn’t matter how moist it is or how rich in flavor; it’s just blah to me.

Every year I’m thankful for the same thing: choices. There are a few good cooks in the family (I’m not one of them) and there are so many different things to choose from, I’m thankful I don’t have to eat very much turkey. Well I’m thankful for other things too…like chocolate malts and computers and bottle caps. Maybe some other stuff too.

Since I’m not a fan of turkey, I’ll be trying to help pass out turkey to some folks tomorrow in hopes of ridding the earth of turkey…and helping feed a few people that are hungry. If you get a chance and you have the means: please help you local shelters this winter with can goods, blankets, jackets, mittens/gloves, hats and all things that keep you warm or anything that might warm someone’s heart…like a helping hand and a nice smile.

Cheers,
– bd
