A new feature

As most of my loyal readers know -and newcomers shortly learn; I love good quotes. In order to keep up with more postings and combine more of my photo life with my blog life I’ll start posting my own photographs with quotes I enjoy alongside them.

Short and small posts…but hopefully something worth adding to the content that is “moi’s blog”. After taking about 600 pictures within the past 8 weeks…I thought there might be some validity to adding more photos. Besides, everyone loves pictures!

Cheers.

Success with G8

African Aid Is Doubled By G-8: “African Aid Is Doubled By G-8
Anti-Terror Solidarity Helps Blair Win Deal”

Per ONE.org
Thank YOU!
10 million people alive by 2010, saved from malaria, from death by a mosquito bite. That’s just one part of this. $25 billion for Africa. To the 1.4 million people who joined ONE. To the million people who turned up at the museum in Philly: You did that!

International White Band Day

July 1 – International White Band Day. Please support the effort!! Are your wearing your white band? I am.

“Hope doesn’t come from calculating whether the good news is winning out over the bad. It’s simply a choice to take action.”
– Anna Lappe

Today is the day we find out where the U.S. stands on global poverty. What will be the outcome? Nelson Mandela thinks we can be “The Great Generation”. Will George Bush agree with over 280,000 Americans that signed the letter?

Will he hear the voices of nearly one million Americans that have joined the One Campaign?

“It is difficult to say what is impossible, for the dream of yesterday is the hope of today and the reality of tomorrow.”
– Robert H. Goddard

It’s not too late to join the One Campaign. It’s not too late to tell your friends. It’s not too late to tell your family. It’s not too late to tell the world we need to help end poverty.

“The world is my country, all mankind are my brethren, and to do good is my religion.”
– Thomas Paine

International White Band Day

It doesn’t matter which of these your white band supports: ONE or Make Poverty History. They are both members of GCAP [Global Call to Action Against Poverty]…one week from Friday is July 1, 2005. July 1 – International White Band Day. Please support the effort.

If you live near me and want a ONE white band, please let me know…I have 6 left.

We can be “The Great Generation”.

Jokes are good

I got this from a coworker today. Probably the best joke I have heard in months!

Some people are like Slinkies…

Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your
face when you push them down a flight of stairs.
