So what did I say I was doing back in 2004? Blogging. Well kinda. Here’s a hint, it was a long version of what this blog is now:
Just another rant from just another Internet drone…that would be me [the drone a.k.a. dweeb] and my words [the rant].
I’m still the dweeb and I still babble, this is just a new twist on old ways. I spend a lot of time across many different websites, forums, clubs, blogs, etc. For the past few years I wanted a “home base” for friends (and I suppose foes) to land on and get directed to all things me. Not necessarily a online resume, not really a static homepage…but not a hardcore blog either.
Life, as usual, got in the way and the home base never happened. That was then, this is today.
The real story…(spoiler alert)
My passion for the poor and helping those in need has been a part of my life since I was about 5 years old. My mother tells me the stories of my “adult” questions about politics and the unfairness of life. My career & education path followed something like this: architecture, mechanical engineering, industrial design, computer technician, computer network security, management information systems, business analysis, human resource management, international business and economics.
After a four year hiatus, I went back to school in Michigan, graduated and now I am off to New York for grad school. I am recently engaged and planning for a wedding this October.
I hope to write about all of the major changes coming up in my life and my pursuit of a career where I can be a “professional catalyst”. Someone who can either help instigate or support change in developing countries.
Most importantly, I want to share the next chapter of my life with the hope that in some way, my story can inspire those wanting to change career paths -regardless of what your path may be.
Now you know. Knowing is half the battle.
